I’ve been so busy with orders lately, I almost skipped this month’s update (I didn’t post one last month for the same reason! Deadlines take priority this time of year!) but then it occurred to me that I have stuff going on you guys mayyyyy wanna know about. Especially those of you who aren’t on social media. So here goes…. I’ll try to make this a quickie so I can get back to work!
First off, here’s what the rest of my month looks like…
As bombarded as I am with orders, I still have availability if anyone would like to schedule a private holiday party with friends, family or coworkers. They’re a great way to spend quality time with loved ones & decompress a little! Learn more about hosting HERE.
The other big thing I wanted to mention is the new promotion I’m super excited to participate in this winter! Raystown Lake Region’s WINTER FIREPLACE GETAWAYS …..
This JANUARY, FEBRUARY and MARCH, book your group of 8 to 20 people at one of our MANY beautiful participating lodges & receive an ‘experience” activity FREE OF CHARGE. You could choose an “IN LODGE” activity such as a paint class with meeeeeee, coffee cupping, yoga or cake decorating! Instructors will come to you! I had an opportunity to sample all of these activities except for the coffee cupping, but I’ve heard rave reviews about Greg’s process!
Tracy Lake’s Kind Yoga was so relaxing & lovely. I’m a beginner, so I was a little nervous about looking awkward & uncoordinated (especially for a recorded & photographed demo!). In a matter of minutes, I could feel my tension melting away as Tracy’s soothing voice led us through each pose. She ended with a guided meditation that was so effective, I swear I was in the friggin’ meadow. I left feeling restored & ready to tackle my day! It was magical.
Jana Weaver’s cake decorating class was really great too! I took my friend Christie along for the demo & we had so much fun! Jana is a wonderful teacher. Everyone in our group left with a unique & tasty creation! Visit her shop, Sweethearts Confectionery on Washington St in Huntingdon to see her beautiful cakes & gourmet cupcakes!
VENTURING experiences include Swigart Automobile Museum, Isett Heritage Museum and Lincoln Caverns & Whisper Rocks. The only one I haven’t had a chance to visit yet is Swigart’s, but again… I’ve heard wonderful things!
You don’t have to be an out-of-towner to take advantage of this sweet deal! It would be perfect for a church group, bridal party, or moms who need a break! Visit FIREPLACEGETAWAYS.COM to learn more! And please share with any friends who may be interested!
Also, in my last update I mentioned No-K 2020, which I’m helping my podcasting buddies coordinate! This event will be just like a 5-K but with no running! (uhhh… so basically… NOTHING like a 5-K) Instead, they’ll have food trucks, beer, wine, music, slip & slides, vendors, live podcasts & more! All proceeds will benefit ACT– Achieving Community Together. Tickets are on sale NOW!!! Only $35. Purchase yours HERE!!
Other than that, not much else to report… the boys & I have been taking a “Mud Mobile” pottery class for the last few weeks! I stink at it but it’s so fun! One of my ducks had babies super late in the season so I now have an indoor duckling who wears diapers & is the sweetest baby on the planet! I finally got to go to Salem, MA for Halloween (something I’ve always wanted to do!). The boys & I created a really cool locomotor course at Shade Gap Elementary. I saw Marc Maron do stand-up in DC, aaaaand I had another lovely encounter with the charming, talented & super dreamy Cary Elwes. **Swoooooooon!** Oh… and I made some new art (most of which I can’t show you cause they’re Christmas orders!)
That’s pretty much it! Please contact me if you’d like to RSVP to a class or host your own event! If you want custom artwork, I can’t accept any more Christmas orders, but I’d be happy to make ya something pretty in January when life gets back to normal! Prints (and a few originals) are available for purchase ONLINE.
Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope to see or hear from ya soon! Ok, BACK TO WORK!
